The new single from YOVA, ‘Hurt Like No Hurt’, has been released alongside a Halloween-themed music video. The track is a tense, slowly building mixture of beautifully constructed electronics and explosions of disorted guitar texture. In the midst of the experimentation, however, the pair don’t skimp on melody. On the video, directors Phillip Reinking and Tom Linton say: “A werewolf serial killer is stalking the streets of London. Inspired by Classic Hammer horrors and Jack the Ripper, "Hurt Like No Hurt" was filmed at the Royal Naval College in Greenwich and comes with an added pinch of camp that will have you howling for more.” The duo are finishing work on their second album, which is due for release in the Spring of 2023. -Dan Peeke.
